As I read these great ideas, I almost get depressed. I can’t imagine getting enough people enthusiastic enough to pull off these things. I am having a hard time getting parents interested enough to look at the papers sent home, or enough help in Sunday School. I know these people love the LORD and they are taught well, but some how they are so apathetic they don’t want to miss out on being in church, but they don’t want to spend extra time here for their kids. I think they are tired and overwhelmed by lifes demands. Any ideas?

I’ve been talking about this with 3 different staffs/churches, but implementation has been hard.
Are you finding overall success or pockets of success?
How would you address difference in implementation in church plant (aka blank slate) and existing church?

These are EXCELLENT IDEAS! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! This summer we have already planned to include EVERYONE for VBS! We’re beginning on a Sunday eve. so our church family can get excited too. We’ll have a special THURS. Eve. for new kids’ PARENTS to be our special guests- (altho they can also attend any evening)Then on Friday eve. we will have VBS CELEBRATION! With awards, balloons, ice cream & etc. ! Our teens are participating in the main Drama, helping in the Circle Groups, & helping with Crafts- Guest Teens will have a special class to discuss the Biblical Drama & the Gospel.. Afterward there are special contests & fun things for all the Teens! Our church is about 75 – 100 & bilingual. Pray for us!!
